ANOTHER PRESS RELEASE!!

Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced $196,000 in funding for five collaborative efforts in Virginia through the Building Collaborative Communities (BCC) program.  The program promotes regional economic collaboration in economically distressed areas that stimulate job creation and economic development and provide a significant return on state investment.  The five selected projects focus on the specific needs of their regions by facilitating significant involvement from the private sector, economic development agencies, community organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits, local leaders, and governmental officials.  Full release here.

PRESS RELEASE!!

BEE funds are intended to leverage local and private resources that will result in business development, job creation, and the growth of new, innovative programs to encourage entrepreneurship in Virginia.  The implementation grants are awards up to $40,000 for projects that expand coverage for small business support services or implement innovative ideas that have been funded previously and field tested through the BEE planning grant program.  Planning grants are awards of up to $15,000 to research, develop, and plan for a potential projects.  Full release here.
